Is Limitless only for roofing contractors? +
No — while the platform was built with roofing in mind (pitched measurements, Colorbond finishes, etc.), it works for any trade contractor. Plumbing, electrical, concreting, carpentry, landscaping — any business that quotes, schedules crew, tracks materials and invoices clients can use Limitless effectively.
Do I need to migrate all my data from my existing system? +
No. You can start fresh with just your catalogue and employee data, then add jobs as they come in. We offer a free onboarding call to help you get set up quickly. Most clients are quoting live jobs within 48 hours of signing up. If you need to import existing catalogue from Buildxact or similar, we support that too.
How does the Plan Measure tool work? +
You upload any PDF plan, set the scale by clicking two known points and entering the real distance, then select items from your catalogue and draw your measurements directly on the plan. Linear (gutters, fascia, ridge), area (roof sheets, insulation), pitched (apply pitch factor automatically) and count (downpipes, skylights). All quantities are pushed to Quote Builder in one click.
Does Limitless handle the Building & Construction Award? +
Yes. You set the award conditions per employee — ordinary hours, OT rate (default 1.5×), Saturday (2.0×), Sunday (2.0×), public holiday (2.0×), break minutes, allowances. The system calculates gross pay automatically from clock-in/out times. Full-time employees get paid for public holidays even when not working. Casual and subcontractor types handled differently. Xero CSV export at the end of each pay period.
Can I import my existing catalogue from Buildxact or Excel? +
Yes. Limitless supports direct import from Buildxact Excel exports (DisplayedOrder format), including parent items and component breakdowns. You can also import from CSV or add items manually. All catalogue items support component-level cost breakdowns (recipe builder) that drive the Supplier PO generator.
What does the Estimation Service include? +
Limitless Estimation Services provides professional takeoff and estimation for roofing and trade projects. We work directly in your Limitless platform — estimates go straight into your Quote Builder ready to review and send. This is ideal for contractors who want to scale their quoting volume without hiring additional estimators. Pricing is project-based. Contact us for rates.
Is my data secure and backed up? +
Yes. Limitless is hosted on Railway with persistent volume storage and automated backups. Each company's data is fully isolated using row-level security — no other company can ever see your jobs, employees, catalogue or financial data. Data is hosted in Australia. We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.
